This lesson kicks off with an exercise that asks attendees to find the surest ways to destroy their business through the lens of competitive strategy. This exercise in destruction will reveal competitive weaknesses. Then we will introduce the opposite of destruction --- growth, using reflective innovation and a framework called Pattern of Disruptions, which teaches targeting disrupters in a repeating lifecycle of innovation. Go deeper by analyzing customer experiences, expectations, actions, and outcomes from the past to inspire and to improve future performances. We will learn about this framework and demonstrate its use to identify opportunity white-spaces. Both approaches (destruction and growth) will be used to guide attendees to specific new opportunities and create competitive advantages. This knowledge gives you an edge to navigate disruptive forces with confidence.
