There are two categories of metrics that businesses can use to develop and to learn about projects: Objectives Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). These terms are often used interchangeably, but they have different purposes within a project: OKRs set project intentions and KPIs monitor results. While a project is underway data is collected and analyzed. If necessary, a project can be steered with strategic levers to guide it towards desired business outcomes. This lesson will demonstrate how to apply these project tools, as metrics.
